Charlie,

I've spent year musing over your explanation of racism. I thought, at first, it was a terribly male simple explanation for, what seemed to me, to be a very complex problem in America, involving African Americas brought to the U.S against their will by ruthless slave traders and sold, originally by ALL white property owners, including the greatest mind of the American Revolution, Thomas Jefferson, and then continuing in the South, which remained agricultural while the Northern United States had turned industrial.

Upon a LONG period of reflections: I think your right. It all comes down to Penis Envy. (Not in the Freudian sense, my friends)

I will be starting a new blog, "Roze Resists” to which I will shoot you a URL once I get her going.

Until then, I send you my enduring fondness.

Oh Dang it! After all these years, I misspelled you're and put your instead. Blame it on the hour.

Again, I send you my fondest regards, oh fellow students of the social sciences and human beings in general. Upon which note, Can you even believe what's happened in the colonies??? My stomach turned to lead when at 11:30 on the night of the Elections. My mother popped her head into my back bedroom and said, “Ït's President...” (Sorry, I don't use that man's name and the word “President” in the same sentence.). I said, “You are kidding me!” She shook her head sadly.

Then, at the same moment we both said, "Thank God Daddy's not alive to see this.” To which my mother added, “The sheer assault upon the dignity of the office just paralyzes me.”

(Why am I at my mother's house? I'm recovering from my second open heart surgery in a 10 month period. To anyone and everyone reading this, DO NOT DO THAT. The effects of that much anesthesia in that short a period of time are DEVESTATING!)

If you've the stomach for it, read that man's tweets. He's already tweeted a thinly veiled call to arms of his supporters should he lose in 2020 (and he WILL lose in 2020. The opposition, which of course I am among, are willing to walk barefoot through broken glass to vote against that SOB, I have my own ideas of who should run, but to be sure he loses, I will vote for who ever get the Democratic nomination, even if I don't like them - I was less than thrilled about Hillary*, but given the opposition...). So, we're going to have us a little civil war with the KKK, The Aryan Brother Hood, The NeoNazi's, The NRA Fanatics, etc., ad nauseum. In other words, the whole group of people which Hillary Clinton called the Basket of Deplorables. I never dreamed I'd own a gun, but I will protect my mother to my last breath! I have great faith that the United States Military, I am given to understand that the military's commanders are furious about being deployed to our Southern Borders to protect us from the “Invasion” at our Southern Borders, of starving people fleeing famine and unspeakable violence, as Mexico and Central America fall victims to the inevitable thugs poverty gives rise to... will refuse any illegal orders, and stop taking his orders the moment a new President has taken the oath of office. But it's going to be dangerous here for a while. Dangerous as hell. To anyone who is not white and blonde. I find little comfort in being both. I have friends whose lives will hang in the balance.

I know you don't believe in God. Would you do me a favor? Pray anyway. The God I believe in is much more interested in your actions than your thoughts. Pray we can put the uprising down quickly, and hang all those S.O.B.'s, Maybe it's for the best. America needs to clean house. This was we can kill the undesirables for treason, and good riddance to bad rubbish, if you'll forgive the clichè.

As for The Donald? I think the end Mussollini met would be highly appropriate.

I miss talking to you Charlie. I broke out that lovely C.D. of your son's music the other day. I'm so grateful to you for sending it to me.

I pray you are well. It frightens me that the last post on your blog was in 2007. Anyone reading this, if dear Charlie has left us, please let me know at avintageroze@gmail.com.

Another Cliche: God bless America. All of you in the UK? Please pray for us. Regardless of whether you believe in God or not. Just do it anyway. We're going to need all the help we can get.

*To everyone who wants to tell me indignantly that Hillary Clinton was The Most Qualified Candidate to ever run for the presidency, I will agree. But I found the Clinton Families sheer, unbridled grasping for power (which is a different thing from being willing to serve your community) distasteful.
